Multi-stop plug check
One home country, up to eight stops: where your plugs fit, where the voltage changes, and the fewest adapter types that reach every stop.
All your plugs fit at 1 of 4 stops; the voltage range differs or varies at all 4.
- All plugs fit
- 1
- Some fit
- 0
- None fit
- 3
- Other voltage
- 4
Two adapter types reach all 3 stops where no plug from home fits.

Check your device’s input rating label: it states the voltage and frequency the device accepts.
Your plugs are the plug types used in your home country (Type E and F count as the E/F hybrid). Each stop is compared with home, because the devices you carry stay the same. Voltages are nominal. How to use it
Pick your home country, then change, add or remove stops. The answer redraws after every change. Without JavaScript the page shows the example above and the worked routes below.
The address bar keeps the route, so it can be bookmarked or sent on, for example /multi-stop-check/?from=japan&stops=france,kenya. For a single destination, the adapter checker shows each plug against each socket.
What the result means
- All, some or none fit
- Each plug type from home is matched against every socket type used at the stop. Where a country lists several types, one building may have only one of them.
- Adapter types
- The smallest set of plug types with a socket at every stop where no plug from home fits, found by trying all combinations. A stop where some plugs fit is left out of that count.
- Other voltage
- The stop is on the other range than home (100–127 V or 220–240 V), or a country on the route uses both.
Eight worked routes
Run with the same rules. They show how the answer changes with home and route, and do not rank destinations. Select one to open it in the check.
